BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Thousands of demonstrators descended on Washington Square and Union Square Friday evening to vent their anguish at the Supreme Court’s rolling back of federal abortion protections, making the critical issue a state matter.
Protesters marched down Eighth Street chanting, “F— SCOTUS!”
Ironically — fittingly, to the protesters — the curse word for the act of actually making babies was constantly hurled at the majority anti-abortion court — in chants, on signs and in chalk on the parks’ paving.
Other popular slogans included “Abort SCOTUS” and “Pack the Court.”
