East Village artist Tom Manco is at it again, this time encouraging people to support local restaurants during the pandemic.
His cardboard figure of a man chowing down at a table, complete with a candelabra, appeared this weekend in Tompkins Square Park.
Despite the Temperance Fountain right behind him, the figure hoists a glass of wine in one hand. In the other, he clamps a “Fat Boy” stogie — hey, why not, it’s outdoors?
To make the message perfectly clear, the guy’s hairy, shirtless torso sports an “Eat Out” stomach tattoo.
Back in December, Manco filled the fountain with a menagerie of cardboard figures.
