On a rainy walk up the Bowery Thursday night, a piece of discarded art on the curb caught the eye near Rivington St. Actually, the sneakers were not physically attached to the drawing of the man-dog, but were apparently placed later. So, then, maybe you could call it an “artistic collaboration.”

A few blocks north, B Bar, formerly Bowery Bar, was a ghostly and graffitied site. An over-the-top ’90s hot spot that lived on into the 21st century, it did not make it through the pandemic.

On a sweet note, in Little Italy, not far from the Bowery, the Cannoli King, on Mulberry St., is still pumping out those traditional tube pastries.
