‘Marvelous’ moment in Abingdon Square as hit series shoots scene

Season 4 production has started for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and filming was recently going strong in Greenwich Village at Abingdon Square.

The romantic comedy-drama series about a female stand-up comic is set in the late 1950s and early ’60s.

Jonathan Kuhn, who sent these photos, said he figured there were about 120 extras in period costume and a few dozen vintage cars — plus one bus.

Probably the production folks were not too happy, though, that the Department of Transportation tore up all the surrounding streets in the area last week and has yet to repave them.
