Two men — one flashing a blade — robbed an East Village deli late on the evening of Wed., Jan. 8, according to police.
Around 11:20 p.m., two unknown men entered the deli, at 106 Avenue B, near E. Seventh St., police said. One of them displayed a knife and demanded cash from the 45-year-old store employee behind the register. One then removed around $200 cash from the register, and they both fled on foot northbound on Avenue B.
No injuries were reported.
The first individual is described as black, age 20 to 30, and last seen wearing all dark clothing.
His sidekick was described as Hispanic, also age 20 to 30, and also last seen clad in all dark clothing.
Police obtained surveillance-camera photos of the alleged suspects from the vicinity of the location, before the incident.
