Knifepoint deli robbery on Avenue B

Two men — one flashing a blade — robbed an East Village deli late on the evening of Wed., Jan. 8, according to police.

Around 11:20 p.m., two unknown men entered the deli, at 106 Avenue B, near E. Seventh St., police said. One of them displayed a knife and demanded cash from the 45-year-old store employee behind the register. One then removed around $200 cash from the register, and they both fled on foot northbound on Avenue B.

No injuries were reported.
