Fresh off his April Fool’s Day interactive public artwork in Tompkins Square Park, Tom Manco is back with a take on Mother’s Day.
In the artist’s latest cardboard creation, as usual by the Temperance Fountain, D.J. Mother May is spinning the tunes in front of a boombox that is also a drop box.
The piece asks people to take a “record” (provided), write their favorite song or songs on it and drop it in the box.
The installation has reportedly been there since Friday night.
