Village Independent Democrats club members been out campaigning every weekend for the nomination of Lauren Esposito for Civil Court and Carlina Rivera for reelection to the City Council in the June 27 Democratic primary election.
On a recent Sunday, V.I.D.’s Tony Hoffmann, left, joined Esposito, Democratic District Leader Jenn Hoppe and Rivera and her husband and newborn child in front of Gristede’s on University Place.
VID used to be the best club around, but now it backs nothing but sell-out pols who support bad development: Rivera, Bottcher, Schwartz.

Sorry but Councilperson Rivera has sabotaged essential bus service and bus access with her “Open Streets” legislation — street closures forcing bus rerouting all over NYC.
Of course, the bicycle lobby is thrilled.
