Senior socked in random attack on W. Houston St.

A 70-year-old man walking down West Houston St. was randomly punched in the face by a stranger last week, police said.

According to cops, the victim was walking in front of 96 West Houston St., between West Broadway and Thompson St., around 12:10 p.m., when a man approached him and socked him in the face, causing pain and a cut.

The attacker then fled on foot.

The victim was removed by E.M.S. to Beth Israel Medical Center in stable condition.

Police provided surveillance photos of the suspect from near the incident location.
