Planting seeds of freedom for Ukraine at Elizabeth Street Garden

The Elizabeth Street Garden held a candlelight vigil for Ukraine on the evening of Fri., March 18.

Prayers were led by Deacon Adrian Mazur from the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, at Broome between Mott and Elizabeth Streets, and Councilmember Christopher Marte attended.

Afterward, people planted sunflowers — the national flower of Ukraine — in the garden.
