The Loisaida Festival sambaed along Avenue C under sunny skies on Sun., May 28. There were festive costumes, music, marching bands, food and friends, plus giant papier-mâché puppet heads of late Loisaida luminaries, like Armando Perez, the artistic director of CHARAS/El Bohio, and Adela Fargas of the restaurant Casa Adela.
