You never know what you’re going to see in Tompkins Square Park.
It seems like there’s a new breed of supersized rats that have sprung up in New York City during the pandemic. One of them was hanging out on a bench in the East Village park on Saturday, giving a couple of parkgoers a shock.

Meanwhile, the same day, street artist Felix Morelo returned to Tompkins Square and chalked some “Bad Luck Spots” around the Hare Krishna Tree. Yeah, it’s been that kind of year.
