Kids need flexibility and balanced chakras, too.
The East Village’s Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRUS) is hosting a Kids’ Day at La Plaza Cultural community garden, at the southwest corner of E. Ninth St. and Avenue C, this Sunday, and yoga will be on the agenda.
The midday break will be full of movement and history. Kids will be guided through short 15-minute yoga sessions, along with a brief introduction to the garden’s history. To complete the kids’ karmic experience, there will be a scavenger hunt.
The event for preschoolers will be from 11 a.m. to noon and for elementary school kids from noon to 1 p.m.
Bring your own lunch for a picnic in the garden.
If it rains, the event will be canceled.
