BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Brooklyn Fare opened a long-awaited supermarket in the Lower East Side’s Two Bridges neighborhood on Mon., May 6.
The new store, at 227 Cherry St., just north of the Manhattan Bridge near the F.D.R. Drive, features a large selection of all items, especially produce, meat and seafood, dairy and beer, including organic offerings.
Prices range from affordable — especially sales — to pricey.
Photographer Roger Bultot hailed it as a “wonderful addition to the neighborhood.”
The Brooklyn Fare helps fill the void of the former Pathmark store that was closed to pave the way for the One Manhattan Square residential tower project.
