When human sardines and hammerhead sharks — and women wearing recycled plastic that could have well ended up in the ocean — strut down Coney Island’s boardwalk, you know it’s summer. The Mermaid Parade on June 22 was a briny good time for all. This year’s king and queen were painter and sideshow historian Joe Coleman and his wife and muse, artist/photographer Whitney Ward.
