Woman, 24, robbed, dragged down stairs in East Village building

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Police said that on Sun., Nov. 14, around 1:15 a.m., a stranger followed a 24-year-old woman into a residential building at 92 Second Ave., between E. Fifth and Sixth Streets.

The man grabbed the victim’s iPhone, credit card and driver’s license from her hand, then proceeded to drag her down the stairs. But the mugger then fled the location in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported from the incident.

The suspect is described as having a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and sneakers.
