Warp and woof, literally, at Ziegfeld fashion show

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | The catwalk was full of mini dogs — plus one actual cat — at Anthony Rubio’s women’s wear and canine couture runway show at Ziegfeld Ballroom on Sun., Feb. 13, during Fashion Week.

You could say the collosal former movie theater, at 141 W. 54th St., has really gone to the dogs.

Rubio, the internationally acclaimed pet couturier, strutted down the runway, too, while toting a white Chihuahua in a high-colored lime-green number with a fetching, no pun intended, brooch. There were visible signs of shedding on the fashionista’s jacket but he handled it with aplomb — and probably later with a sticky clothes roller.

Hopefully, with all the excitement, there were also some designer pooper scoopers on hand.

I love it! Every well-dressed New Yorker must have a dog sporting matching couture!

I noticed hardly anyone in the audience was wearing masks.

Oh yes! Pets are good accessories in the decadent fashion biz. Bring on the ASPCA!
