Updated March 1, 5:08 p.m.: A small sign looks official — but, upon closer inspection, has been doctored — at the Christopher St. subway station.
And it turns out that, no, the photo is not of goateed ex-Mets slugger Mike Piazza, either.
In fact, it’s yet another installation by the ubiquitous street artist Clint Mario, whose fitting motto is “I am everywhere.”
Basically, if there’s a sign out there, Mario’s M.O. is to superimpose himself into it somehow.
