On Wed., April 1, at 7 p.m., federal, state and city politicians and freelance advocates will hold a virtual town hall for artists, freelancers and gig workers on the impact of the coronavirus crisis and advocacy and economic relief measures. Participants will learn about available resources.
Speakers will include Congressmember Carolyn Maloney, state Senator Brad Hoylman, Assemblymember Yuh-Line Niou and Councilmembers Carlina Rivera and Brad Lander, as well as Rafael Espinal and Michael Royce, the respective directors of the Freelancers Union and New York Foundation for the Arts.
