Police said that on Thurs., Dec. 7, around 6:50 p.m., a stranger followed a 28-year-old woman into the vestibule of a building at E. Third Street and Avenue D and forcibly took her purse.
The robber then cornered the victim and ordered her to open the locked vestibule door — but fled when a neighbor approached. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as in his 40s and around 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds.
