The thief fled a block north into the Spring Street subway station.
The victim suffered minor injuries and did not require any medical attention at the scene.
The suspect is described as last seen wearing a dark-colored jacket, gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
Police ask that anyone with information call the N.Y.P.D.’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Tips can also be submitted on the Crime Stoppers Web site at crimestoppers.
For a cleaners, the amount in the register was too much for business. Excess cash should be removed and hidden. Sorry this had to happen .
