In a brazen canine caper on Christopher St., a guy stole a fancy puppy from a pet shop on Tues., June 22, police said.
Cops said that shortly before 4 p.m. that day, an unidentified man entered CITIPUPS, at 45 Christopher Street. He allegedly perused the puppies on display, playing a little Plexiglas “footsy” with a Pomeranian he liked. He then entered a restricted area of the store and grabbed the dog, valued at $3,495 from its cage. He exited the place without paying.
Police on the case of the furry felony released a surveillance photo and video of the suspect, who is wanted for grand larceny. The video shows him leaving with the puppy in his bag and a grin on his face.
The suspect wore distinctive blue jeans that were white below the knees.
