Publicist who lives near Union Square reported missing

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | A multitalented publicist and marketing pro has been reported missing from her home a block west of Union Square.

Police said Emily Wexler, 58, who lives at 10 W. 15th St., just west of Fifth Avenue, was last seen in her residence on Thurs., Aug. 3, around 5:30 a.m.

She is described as having short brown hair, standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing around 145 pounds.

Wexler is listed as having bought a co-op apartment in the 429-unit building in October 2019.

Her LinkedIn page says Wexler has written publications for the Manhattan Borough President’s Office and City University of New York, as well as media press releases, grant applications, fundraising pleas and requests for proposals (R.F.P.’s) for a Wall Street firm. In addition, she is a professional engineer who has worked on “product upgrades” in the packaging industry and on residential renovations.

“She also submitted an extensive report on…reverse osmosis components to IBM,” the LinkedIn page notes.

A police spokesperson said the incident is not being deemed suspicious.
