Man shot in leg on E. Fourth St.

The Summer of the Gun went out with a bang in the East Village as a local man was wounded early Saturday morning around 1:20 a.m.

Police said that the 32-year-old victim got into a dispute with another male in front of 290 E. Fourth St., between Avenues B and C, who then shot him in the leg. The victim was reportedly removed to Brookdale hospital in Brooklyn with non-life-threatening injuries.

The relationship between the two men is unknown at this time, according to cops. There has been no arrest and the investigation is ongoing.

According to a police spokesperson, the victim’s sister called 911 after the incident and reported that her brother had been shot following an argument. The victim lives in the neighborhood, the spokesperson said.
