Local bands to rock for Ukraine at East Village fundraiser

Bands will shred for freedom and independence at an “East Village Rocks for Ukraine” fundraiser concert on Sat., June 8.

The bill boasts a trio of bands, Timbres, Compass Rose and Second Avenue Wolves.

“We perform covers and some original rock from the ’60s, ’70s and beyond,” Wasyl Nyszczej said. “The musicians are mostly old-school East Village people of Ukrainian descent trying to do what they can to support Ukraine in their battle against unlawful invasion.”
