Keeping kids lead safe while learning at home

As families are gearing up for the fall and the “indoor months” to come, the Cooper Square Committee is putting a focus on the dangers of lead in the home and how families can protect themselves from the harmful heavy metal.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it seems likely that parents and young children will spend more time in their apartments in the coming months, potentially increasing their exposure to lead hazards in the home, like dust and chipping or peeling paint.

On Wed., Sept. 2, at 7 p.m., the Cooper Square Committee and Lead Dust Free NYC will hold a free Zoom workshop for tenants, especially parents of young children, on staying lead-safe at home. To register, click here.
