I’m dreaming of a…dry Christmas

A torrential rain didn’t keep the storied Washington Square Association from lighting the holiday tree under the arch on Monday evening.

The tree lighting had already been postponed once already.

“It was was amazing in a downpour,” said the association’s Sugar Barry, who sent the photo, above. “The enthusiastic crowd was singing, singing, singing — very beautiful! Hurray for W.S.A.!”
