Heartless Target thief steals downed woman’s wallet

A cold-hearted opportunist “targeted” a shopper who collapsed at the East Village Target, ripping off her wallet, according to police.

Cops said that on Tues., Dec. 15, at 10 a.m., a 79-year-old woman had a medical episode and fell down in the entranceway of the Target store at 500 E. 14th St., at Avenue A. An unidentified woman removed the stricken victim’s wallet, which contained ID and bank cards.

The victim was transported by E.M.S. to Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in stable condition.

The crook later used the victim’s debit card, but it wasn’t exactly a wild spending spree. At 5:41 p.m., she flashed the hot plastic to buy coffee and doughnuts at a Dunkin’ at 351 Grand St.
