He targeted laptops at Target

A tech-centric shoplifter in a flashy jacket made off with a haul of laptop computers from the East Village Target store a month ago.

It was reported to police that the unidentified man entered the Target, at 500 E. 14th St., at Avenue A, on Thurs., March 12, at 10:16 p.m. He removed six HP and Acer laptops from a display shelf and exited without paying for them.

Not exactly keeping a low profile, the suspect was last seen wearing a black-and-yellow jacket with an orange stripe — though he did keep his hood on. Police provided surveillance-camera photos of him taken inside the store.
