Free talk on Bowery as birthplace of modern tattooing

Learn about the history of tattooing on the Bowery at a free illustrated talk with tattoo artist and scholar Michelle Myles, co-founder of Daredevil Tattoo Shop and Museum of Tattoo History.

The free event will be held at Grace Church High School,  at 46 Cooper Square, south of Astor Place, starts at 6 p.m.

Also an author, Myles has a forthcoming book coming out on modern tattoo culture’s colorful beginnings on the Bowery and Chatham Square.

The event is presented by the Bowery Alliance of Neighbors, the Daredevil Museum of Tattoo History and Grace Church School.
