Dogs dazzle at East River Park Halloween pooch parade

Although they were briefly upstaged by East River Park activists, dogs had their day at the Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade on Sat., Oct. 23.

The activists were protesting the de Blasio administration’s extreme plan to destroy the 82-year-old, 60-acre park in order to rebuild it as a floodwall to protect the East Village and Lower East Side from coastal flooding.

Make no bones about it, the dogs love East River Park, too. But this day they were there to strut their stuff.
