PHOTOS BY EVERYNIGHT CHARLEY CRESPO | Washington Square Park before dusk on Fri., Sept. 4, was a sea of sights and sounds. Much of that sound was amplified, which is technically not allowed in the park. Neither is skateboarding, but you wouldn’t know that from all the skaters flying around doing aerial tricks.
Meanwhile, police assigned to guard the arch against another paint-bombing stayed glued to their posts.
But then again, this has not exactly been a typical summer. Music venues, for one, are still not back open due to the pandemic.
All of the events depicted here happened simultaneously in various parts of the park between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
