Burglar came in through fire-escape window

A 24-year-old woman told police that when she returned home, at Second Ave. and E. 12th St., on Sat., Feb. 1, around 3 p.m.,  she found her bedroom window opened.

Subsequent investigation determined that an unidentified male entered the apartment through a window from the fire escape. Once inside, he removed electronics and jewelry before fleeing in unknown direction.

Police released a surveillance-camera video, below, of the alleged suspect walking down the sidewalk, pushing a covered baby carriage with one arm and carrying a large bag with the other.
