An ‘L’ of a spot for gunfire: Shots blasted inside 1st Ave. subway station

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Police are trying to track down “three persons of interest” in connection with a wild gunfire incident inside the First Avenue L train station.

According to cops, on Mon., July 10, around 2:10 a.m., two unidentified males got into a physical fight on the station’s Brooklyn-bound south platform. During the scrap, one of them blasted at least two gunshots — and possibly up to three or four, according to a police spokesperson. The incident is still under investigation.

Despite the flying bullets, apparently no one was hit. No injuries were reported.

Police want to question this trio in connection with the incident. (NYPD)

Police say the two guys both had medium builds and wore all black clothing. The third person of interest is a female who was with one of the males. She had a medium build and brown hair and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and eyeglasses.

The charge would be reckless endangerment.

Police ask anyone with information to call the N.Y.P.D.’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
