Up to $3,500 reward for info on Washington Square Park table-whacking trio

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | A lot of the vending that goes on in Washington Square Park is not legal. Neither is bashing someone over the head with a vendor’s table.

Police said that on Sun., Oct. 17, around 3 p.m., a 27-year-old man got into a verbal dispute in the park with three unidentified men. Things escalated and — in a move straight out of pro wrestling — the victim was smashed in the head with a folding table, punched multiple times and kicked multiple times in the head.

The victim was treated at Lenox Health Greenwich Village for cuts to his wrist and head and was in stable condition.
