Weekend guide to local live music

BY EVERYNIGHT CHARLEY CRESPO | Pigeons Playing Ping Pong formed as a funk jam band in 2009 in Baltimore, Maryland. The rock quartet has garnered a following as a result of its consistent touring, playing as many as 200 shows a year to its devout audience, nicknamed “The Flock.” The band will perform its hypnotic hybrid of funk, rock and psychedelic grooves at the Rooftop at Pier 17, at the South Street Seaport, this Saturday, supported by Andy Frasco & the UN and Dogs in a Pile.
