Watch your cell-f! Phone filcher strikes twice on East Side

Police are searching for a cell-phone snatcher who has struck twice in the East Village and Lower East Side.

According to police, on Mon., Dec. 16, around 5:20 p.m., a 61-year-old man was walking in front of 209 E. Fourth St., between Avenues A and B, and texting on his phone, when a stranger swiped the device right out of his hands. The robber then fled in unknown direction with the phone.

Then, on Fri., Jan. 10, around 8:40 p.m., a woman, 28, was walking at the corner of Forsyth and Grand Sts., when the same suspect reportedly grabbed her phone from her and ran northbound on Eldridge St. with it.
