BY THE VILLAGE SUN | A dispute inside the subway station at W. 14th Street and Seventh Avenue ended with a man hammering his adversary — literally.
The incident occured around 9:14 p.m. Tuesday night. Police said that, after the perpetrator pounded the other guy with the tool, the victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Black male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a slim build, wearing a wig, purple lipstick, a red top or jacket, blue jeans, red shoes and carrying a tote bag.
A police spokesperson did not have information on what may have sparked the flap. The New York Post said it started when the attacker was bumped, and also reported that the victim wasn’t just treated at the hospital but was “hospitalized.”
Police ask that anyone with information call the N.Y.P.D.’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). Tips can also be submitted on the Crime Stoppers Web site at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or on Twitter at @NYPDTips. All tips are strictly confidential.
