Poncho-wearing perp scrawls swastika at City Hall

Police say a man graffitied a swastika on a pillar on the fence ringing City Hall Park on the evening of Mon., Dec. 13.

The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. by a gate in the fence at Beekman Street and Park Row. The suspect also wrote half of a slur beside the swastika. He then shambled off southbound on Park Row but briefly turned and looked back to admire his hateful handiwork.

The New York Police Department’s Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating.
