The Elizabeth Street Garden and McNally Jackson bookstore are teaming up on a new poetry-reading series in the Little Italy green oasis, on Elizabeth St. between Spring and Prince Sts.
The readings will be held every other week, on Sundays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The series started June 20 and runs through Sept. 26. Each week’s readings will have a different theme. The garden and bookstore are co-promoting and co-curating the events, which are open submission.
Poets at the June 20 reading included Marcia Newfield, Lametrius White, Bruce Whitacre, Nicole Della Costa, Jeph Cange and Francine the Poet.
