‘Late Show’ bandleader right on time on the square

Jon Batiste, the bandleader for “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” brought his group to the north end of Union Square on Saturday.

They jammed on tunes like “My Favorite Things,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

Batiste, who played a keyboard guitar, and some other band members sported face masks. Though no one — not even Dr. Fauci — has figured out yet a way for horn players to wear them.
