Illegal pot shop robbed in Little Italy

BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Robbers hit a Little Italy-area smoke shop, making off with jars of weed, police said.

According to cops, on Thurs., Feb. 2, around 5:20 p.m., two males entered Smokers Paradise, at 174 Hester St., where one of them sprayed an unknown chemical substance into the 27-year-old male store employee’s face.

The crooks swiped two jars of cannabis, with a total combined value of around $300. They fled on foot eastbound on Hester Street toward Mott Street.

The victim refused medical attention.

A surveillance video clip from the store shows one of the alleged robbers, wearing a red jacket, talking to the employee and smelling a sample of flower while his sidekick, wearing a black, hooded puffer jacket, talks into a cell phone.
