Police are seeking a man on charges of aggravated harassment as a hate crime in connection with racist and anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled on New York University’s Silver Building over the weekend.
Cops said it was reported on Sat., Sept. 12, at 1:35 p.m., that an unidentified man used a black marker to draw swastikas and write anti-black and anti-Semitic statements on 31 Washington Place. One of N.Y.U.’s main classroom buildings, it’s just steps away from Washington Square Park.
The hate-filled vandal fled on foot.
Police released photos and video of the suspect, showing him on Washington Place shortly after the incident.
