E-scooter-jacking in Soho as rider is shoved off stand-up ride

Police said that on Wed., April 26, around 6 a.m., a 37-year-old man was breezing along on his stand-up electric scooter on Thompson Street between Prince and Houston Streets, when a stranger abruptly pushed him into a parked vehicle.

The robber then hopped on the stolen scooter and peeled off eastbound on Prince Street, then hung a right onto West Broadway and sped off northward. The victim declined medical attention at the scene.

The suspect is described as roughly age 20, 6 feet, 3 inches tall and 180 pounds, with a medium build, and last seen wearing a black-and-gray “NIKE” hooded jacket, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
