Attacker punches man in FiDi, hurls gay slur

Police said a man uttered an anti-gay slur and socked a 24-year-old man in the face and back of the head in the Financial District on Sat., Sept. 26.

The incident occurred around 11:35 p.m. in front of 85 Broad St.

The victim suffered a cut to his lip and a bloody nose. The attacker fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white male with blond hair, around 5 feet 10 inches tall, 200 pounds and last seen wearing a white long-sleeved shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.

Police did not say what sparked the attack.
