On the day before Thanksgiving, as people prepped their appetites for the holiday feast, the line to get into Katz’s Deli on E. Houston St. stretched all the way down the block.
Meanwhile, on an empty lot on Ludlow St. near Stanton St., an exhibit called “Ghost Town” found shovels of different colors planted in the ground, surrounded by graffiti-covered walls. On the ground was the lyric, “This town is coming like a ghost town” — from The Specials’ classic ’80s two-tone ska hit, of course.
And an eye-catching image on the front of the Richard Taittinger Gallery, on Ludlow St. (top), called attention to its current exhibit, “The Female Lens,” a group photo show on how the female gaze informs the construction of images and identity.
