2nd Ave. face-off leads to face slashing

A sidewalk argument between two men in the East Village turned violent when one slashed the other, police said.

According to cops, the victim — a 63-year-old man — and another male got into a dispute on Sat., June 27, around 12:41 a.m., in front of 44 Second Ave., at E. Second St.

Things escalated and the attacker whipped out a knife and slashed the other man across the face.

E.M.S. responded and transported the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

The incident occurred right next to the vacant Church of the Nativity, where homeless people hang out and sleep.
