Police said that on Fri., Jan. 12, around 3:40 p.m., a robber made off with an older man’s necklace outside the Village View apartment complex in the East Village.
In the rear of 40 First Ave., at Third Street, a man reportedly approached a 70-year-old from behind and grabbed his chain from his neck, causing a small cut.
The robber fled on foot. The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, black sneakers and a black-and-white ball cap.
