BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for an alleged sexually motivated burglary in the East Village.
According to police, on Wed., Dec. 6, around 2:30 a.m., a stranger unlawfully entered an occupied apartment at E. 11th Street and Avenue A. Once inside, the man tried to lie down in bed next to a 23-year-old woman who was sleeping at the time. The victim was awakened by the intruder, who fled.
There were no injuries reported.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 170 pounds, wearing a blue hat, glasses, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black-and-white jacket, beige sweatpants and light-colored shoes.
