BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Afer a two-year hiatus, the Children’s Halloween Parade is returning to Washington Square.
Sponsored by New York University and Community Board 2, the 32nd annual Children’s Halloween Parade will take place on Mon., Oct. 31, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
One of the city’s largest, free children’s events on Halloween day, the event is complete with live performances, games, treats and more.
Families and children will gather at 3 p.m. at the Washington Square arch, then parade around the park. Following the joyful jaunt, activities will be held on LaGuardia Place between Washington Square South and W. Third Street.
Arlene Peralta, senior director of Community Engagement at N.Y.U., said it’s great to bring back the traditional day of family fun.
“We are looking forward to collaborating with Community Board 2 to celebrate the Children’s Halloween Parade in person once again,” she said, “and bringing the community together for a time-honored tradition.”
