BY THE VILLAGE SUN | Police are asking for the public’s help in ID’ing a man who viciously stabbed another man multiple times in Tompkins Square Park, leaving him in critical condition.
According to cops, on Mon., April 18, just before 6 p.m., inside the park, near E. Seventh Street and Avenue A, the victim, a 35-year-old male, and an unidentified male got into a dispute. Things escalated and the attacker used an unknown object to stab the victim multiple times, then fled the scene.
The victim was transported by E.M.S. to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated for stab wounds to his left shoulder, right shoulder, chest, left arm, right forearm, left thigh, left calf and right thigh. He was listed in critical but stable condition.
Police released a photo and video of the alleged suspect, showing him male walking northbound on Avenue A after the incident.
